EQUIPMENT GLASS IS MEASURED, NOT LOOKED UP

Passenger vehicles have part numbers. A 20-year-old backhoe that has been through three owners and two cabs often does not — the glass may already be a previous replacement cut slightly off spec. So we measure: pane dimensions, corner radius, thickness, and how the glass sits in the channel or against the rubber. On flat-glass cabs we can cut to that measurement the same day, which is usually faster than waiting on a dealer part.

Cabs also use a mix of tempered and laminated glass depending on position and manufacturer spec. Front and door glass is frequently laminated for impact resistance where debris comes off a bucket; rear and side panes are commonly tempered. We match what the machine came with rather than putting whatever is on the shelf into the opening.

WORKING ON AN ACTIVE JOB SITE

Nobody wants to trailer an excavator across Baltimore County to fix a window. We bring the tooling, sealant, and glass to the site and work around the crew — usually staged so the machine is down during a break in the cycle rather than mid-dig. Dust and grit are the real enemy on a site install: the channel gets cleaned properly before anything is set, because sealant bonding to dirt fails in weeks.

We handle Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Case, Volvo, Hitachi, JCB, Bobcat, and Kubota machines, and for time-critical jobs we run same-day. If you can send a photo of the broken pane and the machine's data plate before we roll, we can usually arrive with the right glass on the first trip.

They came out to our job site and swapped a cab window on our excavator same day. Lifesaver.
